What training do you have that helps in your current role?
I've had several previous roles in administration and have worked in very fast paced, customer facing environments. My general qualities and approach to tasks most certainly help me keep Flinn and Steel ticking over nicely. I absolutely thrive for organised and methodical work spaces and feel this is needed when working with high end merchandise such as our beautiful rings!
How long have you worked in the jewellery industry/your current rol
I started with House of Flinn in August 2022 and this is my first role in the jewellery industry. I have learnt so much in a short space of time and look forward to expanding my knowledge when I'm back from maternity leave. The industry is very interesting and exciting and I love seeing the new designs and trends.
Tell me about how it is working in your team
This team allows me to be myself! It's a fantastic mix of personalities and strengths which creates the perfect work atmosphere. I feel appreciated by my colleagues and our wonderful CEO ensures the team has fun and spoils us on special occasions and team event days. It's a very special place!
What is the best thing about your job?
I am so grateful for my place at Jessica Flinn! To work alongside passionate people in a role that suits my personality, high work standards and all the skills I've acquired throughout my career is such a pleasure. I'm happy to be behind the scenes, keeping everyone and everything organised and running smoothly.
What has been a career/job highlight for you?
In general I tend to progress quite quickly within a role/ company. It's always heartwarming to know that my senior colleagues see potential in me and that my hard working ethic is rewarded.
What’s your favourite piece and why?
I love our black metal range. Both the hammered and bevelled edge design are sleek and stand out from the crowd!

What training do you have that helps in your current role?
With years of experience interacting with diverse individuals, I've honed my ability to connect with people from all backgrounds. My career has consistently placed me in roles demanding top-tier organisational skills and the finesse to juggle multiple tasks, skills that now come in incredibly handy in my current position!
How long have you worked in the jewellery industry/your current role?
I have only been with the company for 3 months but have learnt so much in a short space of time! Jessica Flinn Fine Jewellery is my first stint in the jewellery industry!
Tell me about how it is working in your team
It is wonderful to work with such a creative, passionate and inclusive team and to have so much fun and still call it work! Oh yes - and getting to look at gorgeous, sparkly gemstones is always a positive!

What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is learning about a completely new industry, to step out of my comfort zone and to feel supported and nurtured within a fantastic team.
What has been a career/job highlight for you?
A highlight for me would have to be my time working as cabin crew in my early twenties. I was lucky enough to get to travel the world and see some amazing locations.

What training do you have that helps in your current role?
My Graphic Design degree has provided me with a wealth of valuable insights and experiences. Thanks to this foundation, I've been able to tackle many of my tasks with confidence and prior knowledge. Additionally, my colleagues have been instrumental in my growth, providing me with invaluable training and guidance. For instance, Grace has shared her expertise in quality control, which has been a significant part of my development.
How long have you worked in the jewellery industry/your current role?
I’ve worked in my current role for a little over half a year, and has been my first experience in the jewellery industry!
Tell me about how it is working in your team
Working within the administration team has been truly delightful. The camaraderie we've built has been a fantastic source of support. What's even more remarkable is how the entire Jessica Flinn team comes together. Despite working in different departments, we seamlessly integrate, offering a glimpse into various roles and the remarkable contributions everyone makes to the company. It's a dynamic and inspiring environment.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about working here at Jessica Flinn is the freedom it allows you to create your definition of work/life balance. For example, I choose to work condensed hours which means I get an extra day off each week where I can focus on my personal interests and hobbies.
What has been a career/job highlight for you? (could be any job)
One of my personal highlights working here is the opportunity to put some of the skills I gained in university to great use. It's been particularly enjoyable to reignite my passion for photography as I'm responsible for capturing the beauty of our jewellery pieces through the lens. It's a rewarding blend of creativity and skill, and it's a joy to be part of this journey.

My favourite Flinn and Steel piece is personalised fingerprint Ruskin, I love the idea of using laser engraving to make a piece of jewellery so personal.

My professional background is rooted in administrative roles, and this experience has proven invaluable during my time at Jessica Flinn. I've seamlessly integrated the knowledge and skills gained from past positions into my work here, always aiming to achieve the highest level of excellence in my tasks.
How long have you worked in the jewellery industry/your current role?
My time here at Jessica Flinn is the first time I’ve worked in the jewellery industry, I’ve been here for half a year and loved every second of it.
Tell me about how it is working in your team
There’s a lot of different types of people which definitely keeps thighs interesting! It’s great having such a variety of people to work alongside and it always keeps you on your toes!
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job here is the opportunity to try lots of different things and learn new skills. Jess, Amy and the rest of the team are really supportive if you have a desire to learn new skills within the company which is amazing.

My career highlight has to be working here, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far and can’t wait to continue my journey here at Jessica Flinn Fine Jewellery.

I'm currently captivated by halo designs, and my top favourites at the moment are Charlotte and Catherine. The classic vintage aesthetics of these pieces truly resonate with my style preferences.

What training do you have that helps in your current role?
All my training for my current role has been done right here at Jessica Flinn, I’ve been fortunate enough to work alongside Amy Wright, who has over 15 years of laser engraving experience under her belt. The knowledge I’ve been passed down from her has been invaluable. I also work closely with the rest of my team and we always share our know-how among each other.
How long have you worked in the jewellery industry/your current role?
I’m fairly new to the industry, I’ve been working at Jessica Flinn for just over a year, this is my first stint working in the jewellery industry.
Tell me about how it is working in your team
Working in my team has been such a fun experience, we all bounce off each other really well and have created a great atmosphere in our office where we can have a laugh but also work hard while motivating each other to do the best job possible.
What is the best thing about your job?
One of the best things about working at Jessica Flinn is that everyone's all about expanding their horizons. We're constantly picking up new skills from each other, and always share our knowledge. But the absolute best part of my job is working with everyone here, we’re a tightly knit team and it’s been amazing working with everyone for the last year and a half.
What has been a career/job highlight for you?
One of the most rewarding moments in my career has been right here at Jessica Flinn, where I've had the chance to delve into a completely new field and expand my knowledge. It's been an incredible experience, as I've embraced the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive and dynamic team environment, which is something I truly cherish.

My favourite piece would have to be the Flinn and Steel Greystones ring in Black Zirconium, the quality of the craftsmanship really sets them apart and I’m a big fan of the central channel design!
