We're a small but mighty crew with a fantastic blend of creative minds and tech enthusiasts. It can be a bit of a rollercoaster ride at Jessica Flinn, but the thrill of it always keeps things exciting and far from dull!
What is the best thing about your job?
The best part of my job is the variety. Marketing is always an exciting realm, with so much to explore. And I absolutely love being given the creative freedom to craft social media content, blogs and any other marketing challenge I can get my hands on. Plus, who can resist a good meme?
What has been a career/job highlight for you?
A career highlight is definitely winning the Emerging Brand award for Flinn and Steel in 2023. It felt amazing to see all the effort I’ve put into the brand pay off, here’s to many more wins in the future!
What’s your favourite piece and why?
Among all the incredible Jessica Flinn pieces, my favourite has to be the Arden. And coincidentally, it also happens to be my wife's absolute favourite. I suppose it's safe to say that she has impeccable style!

What training do you have that helps in your current role?
Having always loved working creatively, I’ve explored a lot of different aspects of design throughout my life! The main training I’ve had is in graphic design. My degree focused on graphic design as a starting point, teaching me that as long as you are communicating clearly, design can be as fun, beautiful or as playful as you want. It gave me confidence in trusting my creative instincts, and built strong problem solving skills so that I can come up with designs that both function and fascinate!
How long have you worked in the jewellery industry/your current role?
I’ve been in design for 5 years, but Jessica Flinn Jewellery has been home for a year and a half now! It’s amazing seeing how much you grow in an environment where everyone is celebrated for what they individually bring to the table. In terms of jewellery knowledge, I didn’t have much if any at the start, but with it being such an interesting and specific area of design it’s compelling! I’ve sponged up as much as possible, but there’s always more to learn!
Tell me about how it is working in your team
The team is amazing! Being a smaller team has some great perks - we all get involved with ideas and creative, and help one another out if someone has a bigger workload. We also have a lot of awareness of mental health here at JF, so there is a lot of supportive camaraderie and understanding towards that.
What is the best thing about your job?
I love the people, they make such a difference to a workspace. We have a lot of fun together, and I think it shows in our gorgeous rings and brand identity. I also really take pride in the company's approach to social justice, we proudly support people loving other people, whatever form that takes, and don’t tolerate discrimination, which is unfortunately not as commonplace as it needs to be. Doing social projects highlighting these topics is a big part of why I love my job.
What has been a career/job highlight for you?
I mean, I can’t believe this but I have a few! Working on a photoshoot with VOGUE Australia was such a privilege, and has definitely ignited a passion for creative direction within me, so to collaborate like that again with a high profile (and legendary) editorial house would be fabulous. I’ve had the pleasure of working on a few amazing shoots so we’re on track!
What’s your favourite piece and why?
I LOVE the new deco collection pieces that are coming out for Jessica Flinn this winter season, but I don’t think I’m allowed to mention those in detail yet! For Flinn and Steel it has to be the Silver x Damascus rings, they’re so groovy!

What training do you have that helps in your current role?
While my current role is one that’s completely new to me, I’ve always loved writing and had a passion for it, my university degree was heavily writing based so that’s definitely prepared me for some of the work I’ve been doing since joining Jessica Flinn. Since starting here the team has also passed on lots of invaluable information and insight and provided plenty of hands-on training.

What’s your favourite piece and why?
The Juno ring from Jessica Flinn is my favourite. It's not your typical ring; it's fun and it has so much room for personalisation if you wanted to make a custom piece. The toi et moi style also has such lovely symbolism which really draws me to this ring.
