OUR GUIDE: CARBON FIBRE RINGS
WHY CARBON FIBRE?
Carbon fibre is a highly advanced material, known for its impressive strength-to-weight ratio. Commonly used in various high-performance applications such as aerospace and automotive, it is also an ideal material for jewellery design. Formed by thousands of individual carbon fibre strands woven together and set with epoxy resin, these tight bonds make it stronger than steel by weight and yet still remarkably lightweight.
WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?
Since carbon is a synthetic polymer, it has a lower environmental impact compared to mined metals.
EASE OF WEAR AND CARE
With our first Carbon Fibre collection, we’ve combined a carbon fibre outer layer with a super smooth titanium inner layer for ultimate comfort and class. This also makes our carbon fibre rings completely hypoallergenic, so perfect for anyone with skin contact issues.
Carbon fibre is resistant to wear and corrosion so will not tarnish or rust. Your carbon fibre ring is also heat-resistant and non-conductive for electricity. They can be easily cleaned with a mild soap and lukewarm water to remove oils and dust.
We always advise to remove your rings when doing any physical work or activities, especially anything with harsh chemicals or when there is a risk of damage to your finger. Our carbon fibre rings are extremely strong so will need specialist tools to remove in an emergency. They are scratch-resistant but not scratch-proof!
