RETURNS & EXCHANGES GUIDE


At Flinn & Steel, we want to make the ring-buying process as smooth and simple as possible. All eligible items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery, meaning you can make sure your ring is the right style and fit for you.


This guide will show you exactly how to request a return or exchange, as long as the ring you've ordered:

- Doesn't have a personalised engraving

- Isn't made-to-order

- Is in pristine, resalable condition

- Is sent back within 30 days from your delivery date


If your order meets these conditions, here's a step by step guide on how to use our self-serve returns system!

Visit the flinnandsteel.co.uk homepage and find the menu at the top of the page - this is on the top left on mobile, or on desktop, click the button next to the cart icon on the top right:

Click 'Log in'


(Don't worry, you don't need to sign up for an account!)


This will take you to our accounts section where you can start the returns/exchange process.

Enter your email and you will be sent a one-time code to use in order to log in.


Please make sure to use the same email address you used on your original order.

Enter the six digit code that has been sent to your email.


If you haven't received it within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder!

Find the order you would like to return or exchange on the dashboard of your account.


Choose 'Request return' and you will be taken to a page where you can add more details.

Select from the dropdown menu the most appropriate reason for return.


If you would like to exchange your ring for another size or style, please let us know in the 'Note' box.


The flat rate for returns and exchanges is £3.50 to cover the tracked returns label you will be sent in the next step.


If applicable, this will be charged later once your return/exchange has been approved.

You will be taken to a summary page confirming that your return request has been sent to us.


We will be notified of your request, and process the request as soon as possible, but please note this can take up to 3-5 working days during busier periods.


Please note, any return requests that do not meet the criteria set out in our returns policy may be declined. If this is the case you will receive an email stating why your request has been declined.

If your request is approved, you will receive an email to confirm this, and your online account will be updated.


Print the tracked returns label and attach it to your return parcel. Take your parcel to your local Post Office, and they will give you a receipt for proof of postage. You will also be able to track your return parcel from your account.

next steps

As soon as we've safely received your return parcel, we will check that the ring you've sent us meets all the criteria to be eligible for return or exchange.


If you have requested a refund, this will be processed and you will receive an email notification to confirm a refund has been actioned. Please note refunds will be completed in the same method in which you paid, and may take a few days to appear back in your account. Please check with your bank if you have not received your refund in a reasonable timescale.


If you have requested an exchange for a different size or style, we will arrange for the new ring to be sent out to you as soon as possible. We will update your order with the new size or style, and you will receive tracking information in a confirmation email when it's on the way!

Please note, we may consider returns or exchanges outside of the 30 day period under extenuating circumstances, however if your ring was purchased far in advance and we have not agreed an extended returns period in writing prior to ordering, your return or exchange request will be declined. Finger size fluctuates frequently and due to a number of factors, please read our ring size guide for more advice.


When ordering your ring, we recommend opting to try the ring for size before adding engraving, as rings that have been engraved CANNOT be returned or exchanged under any circumstances.


We also recommend using our ring sizer and reading our ring size guide before ordering, as other ring sizers and brands may differ to our measurements. If you order a made-to-order or engraved ring after being advised on your ring size from another jeweller, and the ring is not a good fit, we will not be able to offer a refund or exchange.
