Hallmarking Guide
Most of our rings don’t come with a UK hallmark — and that’s totally above board.
That’s because our specialised metals (like Titanium, Tantalum, and Tungsten) aren’t classed as precious under UK Hallmarking Law. So instead of a hallmark, you’ll find a laser engraving that tells you what metal it is — plus the “Flinn” signature on the inside. Simple, clear, and legit.
If your ring is made from 100% precious metal (like Gold or Platinum), then UK hallmarking law does apply. In those cases, you’ll see a series of small stamped symbols inside your band — confirming the metal, purity, and our registered maker’s mark.
We’ve included the official UK Assay Office hallmarking guide below, which explains what each of those symbols means.
