Is titanium strong?
One of the biggest reasons people choose a titanium wedding ring is because it is lightweight while remaining exceptionally durable. Titanium is considerably stronger than gold, but that's not actually the reason we'd recommend it. We love it because it's incredibly comfortable to wear every day. Most people are surprised by how light it feels.
Titanium was named after the Titans of Greek mythology, so perhaps it's no surprise that it has become synonymous with strength. It is a non magnetic, lightweight metal and weighs roughly 50% less than stainless steel. It also has high levels of corrosion resistance and a higher melting point than steel. It is graded between 1-5 on strength, grade five titanium is used for extreme engineering, we use grade two titanium for our rings. It is one of the toughest in the metal family.
what colour is titanium?
Titanium is silvery dark grey, and can also be heat treated to produce different coloured finishes. Whether you prefer a mirror polish or a brushed finish, titanium suits both. It has a darker, more contemporary look than silver or white gold, which is one of the reasons so many people choose it.
are titanium rings durable?
Despite being so light, it is extremely tough, so a great option if you like to be out and about and use your hands a lot. Though it is so tough, we recommend taking it off for manual labour or physical jobs. It also conducts heat very well. Although in everyday life, that's unlikely to be something you'll notice unless you're working with very hot materials or equipment.

A titanium wedding ring will be significantly more affordable than precious metals such as gold or platinum, but more pricey than some of our other metals. Most of our titanium designs are made to order here in the UK, so bear in mind they can take a little longer to arrive.
are titanium rings stylish?
Although it is a tough metal, used in industry and bikes and aeroplanes - it can be really elegant, beautiful or straight up cool. We have some gorgeous designs, including other metals, colours, patterns and finishes. So you can go simple and elegant or creative and decorative and everything in between.

We consider comfort and durability when designing all of our rings - we think about the width, the edges, the weight and the profile, so long story short, yes! The biggest surprise for our customers when they try on a titanium ring is how light it is. This can be really helpful if you have never worn a ring before.

our verdict
Pros: We'd recommend a titanium wedding ring to almost anyone looking for a lightweight, durable, hypoallergenic alternative to traditional precious metals. Titanium is one of the most popular metals for wedding rings because it is lightweight and durable, it can be stylish and made just for you. It is reasonably priced (particularly compared to gold), it's hypoallergenic and won’t tarnish.
Cons: it is really tough, so you should take it off if you work with your hands to prevent injury, and if you wear it up against a precious metal ring, it will wear the other ring down. We can’t think of any others - oh, it isn’t quite as shiny as a precious metal, but you could choose one that has both.
So... is titanium all hype?
Not even close.
It's lightweight, incredibly comfortable, strong enough for everyday life and looks fantastic. Is it the right metal for everyone? No. But if you want a modern wedding ring that works as hard as you do, we'd choose titanium every time.

Do titanium rings scratch?
Can titanium rings be resized?
No. Titanium rings generally can’t be re-sized because the metal is so strong, and they are made to order.
Because of this, our policy is to offer 1 complimentary exchange if your ring is in pristine condition and has not been engraved or made to order. If you are ordering a ring and you're not 100% sure on your ring size, we recommend ordering without engraving to confirm the size is just right, and then send the ring back to us at a later date to have your engraving added!

Can titanium rings be engraved?
Yes, they can! Personalised engraving is available on almost all of our rings. Simply enter your chosen engraving in the text box on the product page, and we'll do the rest! Personalised engraving can add up to 1 week to the standard lead time.
You could write a special message, nicknames, the date of your wedding or your initials for example. For more info about engraving, read our guide.
*Please be aware, rings purchased with a personalised engraving are not eligible for exchange. If you're not 100% sure of your ring size, we recommend ordering your ring without engraving and sending it back at a later date to be added once you know your ring is the perfect fit!
How long do titanium weddings ring last?
If you look after it, your ring will last forever. It won’t rust, tarnish or bend. Like all rings, it will get tiny surface scratches (also called patina), which will simply add to it’s story. The one thing we can't guarantee is that your fingers will stay the same size forever - that's up to you!
Are titanium rings worth it?
In our view, categorically yes. Your titanium wedding ring will be comfortable, hard wearing, and affordable. A titanium wedding ring also gives you the opportunity to wear something that reflects you a little more than a straight up gold wedding band (which, by the way, we are not dissing, we've got those too)
